We are currently in the middle of a huge refurbishment of our library! Once it is complete, we will have a grand re-opening where children will have the opportunity to come along and explore our huge range of high-quality texts.
Our library will ensure children have access to high-quality, up-to-date books. Reading has been proven to have a positive impact on mental health and academic attainment, so we are creating a space that children will feel is safe and inviting, in order to promote a real love for reading.
Once a week, each year group will have a session within the library where class teachers will recommend stories to children and then help them choose a book to take home. For younger children, parents are asked to help their child remember to bring their library book back on library changing day. Children are asked to respect their library books and remember that another person will want to read the book after them.
