Our Learning Journey
So far this year, in Year 2 we have had lots of exciting and enriching experiences to support our learning.
We had the pleasure of meeting the local Fire Service, who talked to us about Fire Safety and how important it is to have a 'Fire Plan' both in school and at home.
In our History unit we looked at the history of schools in the UK. To celebrate this, we held our very own 'Victorian Day', where the children and staff came dressed up and completed tasks of that time.
We were lucky enough to have a visit from Reverand Joe, who came in to our class to talk all about what Advent means to Christians.
Excitingly, we had a volunteer from BAXI visit us who ran a workshop with us, all about building a tipper truck our of a cardboard box!
We have taken part in Bikeability, developing our skills and confidence on a bike.
We were lucky enough to take part in the NSPCC's 'Speak Out. Stay Safe.' workshop. They brought their mascot 'Buddy' and talked to us all about different ways we can stay safe and who we can speak to when we're not feeling safe.
