From September 2026 free school meals are changing and being expanded to allow more children to become eligible. The government are changing their eligibility criteria so that more families can access the benefit and from September any families that are in receipt of Universal Credit will be eligible for a free school meal. Whilst more children will be eligible, annual free school meal applications must be made.

Whilst all the details have not yet been confirmed we are asking ALL our families to complete the following Microsoft form so in September we can run a check for our families to see if their children are eligible for free school meals. We are hoping reapplying annually is something we can do on your behalf, so long as ALL families complete the attached Microsoft form.
