This half term in DT, we have been investigating gears and pulleys. We started off making our own gears using pins, play dough and then designing more accurate gears with teeth. We trialled our gears out by creating pulleys to pick up a pencil from the ground. Our design criteria was to design a new eco-gadget bicycle. We had to undertake market research to investigate what gadget bikes are already out there and then use this information to create our own!
