Friends of Savick Library

The Friends of Savick Library are organising a series of free children's author visits to Savick Library during this year's school holidays. The first author visit will be by Kate Simkins on Wednesday the 27th of May 2026 from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm. The event is for children aged 8 years and above, it involves a hunt in the library to find hidden items.
Children attending the event must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Booking for the event is by completing the following booking form

Harris Museum Easter Timetable

The Harris Museum have an exciting May half-term programme coming up packed with engaging, family-friendly activities designed to inspire creativity.
Visitors can enjoy a wide range of hands-on experiences, including crafting miniature landscapes, relaxed sketch and stroll sessions, imaginative art workshops, and our ever-popular LEGO Club. A highlight of the programme is the opening of our brand-new exhibition, The World of Martin Brown: Horrible Histories and Other Dazzling Drawings. We’re delighted to welcome illustrator Martin Brown in person for this special occasion.
