Year 5

Welcome to our Year 5 page! smiley

Good morning Year 5!

You made it!  Thank you for all your hard work this year, especially in the last few months where you have had to take on so much more responsibility, along with your families, for managing your own learning.  You have made me so proud!  There will be no more new home learning grids, however, today we are posting a Key Stage 2 Summer Challenge so, if you fancy trying some new things, or are ever stuck for something to do, why not take a look?

Enjoy your summer break, be kind to those around you and cherish the opportunities that you are given.  I'm looking forward already to seeing you as Year 6 with all the new responsibilities being the oldest in the school brings.  Make sure you stay safe and, most of all, be happy!

We are currently reading 'Cosmic' by Frank Cottrell Boyce. We have chosen this book to consolidate our knowledge of Science-fiction stories from last half term. It is a thought provoking book that highlights the difference between children and adults in a funny and exciting way.

Points will also be awarded for home learning and reading with a parent/carer.
