Good morning Year 4! It's the last day of term! I'm very proud of you all for all the hard work you've put in this year and how the great responsible attitude you've all shown towards our home learning. I have loved teaching you all this year and wish you all the best as you move up to new adventures in Year 5! Although we couldn't have our usual end of term assembly, the adults at school have got together and filmed a special end of term assembly video for you instead so make some time to watch this with your families if you haven't already: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7E-WzHCBWg

Have a lovely summer and stay safe!

Today is 'share an ice cream day!' If you're anything like me, I know you'd find it hard to share your favourite ice cream (don't forget that if you do share, it's important that you only share with somebody else from your household!) Have a think about what your favourite ice cream would be... mine would definitely be chocolate!

Have a lovely day!

Good morning Year 4! Welcome to the final week of term. It's definitely been a little bit different to our usual summer term at Lea but I'm so impressed with how fantastic your home learning has been. The theme of this week's knowledge activities is 'moving up'  This is a great chance to try some activities to get you ready for moving up to Year 5 in September.

There's a 'transition project' saved in the resources section for this week, which has five days of exciting activities for you to have a go at!

Unfortunately, as next week is the start of the summer holidays, there won't be a wow work video next Monday - but I'd still love to see what you're up to this week so keep sending in those brilliant photos on dojos!

Today is also 'write a letter day' - why don't you have a go at writing a letter to a friend or family member to make them smile?

Have a lovely week!

Good morning boys and girls!

Firstly, I would like to thank everyone who has sent in photos of themselves and their work, I feel incredibly proud to be your teacher and I think you should all give your grown ups a round of applause because they have clearly been working hard with you too! If you haven't already, please send in a photo, it's not too late!  I am going to put all of this together in a video ready for Monday morning.

Secondly, I have put up this image to help you start a conversation about the recent media coverage on racial discrimination. This is an important and incredibly topical subject needed to educate the next generation.

Finally, I hope you have had an awesome week and to top it off we have another food themed day. A traditional English dish; Fish and Chip day! It’s time to put on my apron and chef hat and get cooking!

Have a lovely weekend everyone 😊

Today at 2:30pm you are invited along with families and children from across the world to pay tribute to all teachers by joining together to sing "The Power in Me" from the safety of your own homes. You can register your involvement at youngvoices.co.uk/powerinme to access free learning resources for the song. This week’s new learning grid has been uploaded alongside some exciting experiment instructions, as this week our cross-curricular focus is… SCIENCE (My favourite!)

The Wildlife Trust is doing a ’30 Days Wild’ program which I have signed up to https://www.wildlifetrusts.org/ The downloadable pack is ready in our resources section if you would like to follow along. Also, your grown-ups can sign up and they will receive extra emails throughout the month with different ideas of what ‘wild’ adventures you could take part in this month.

The maths resources and the English planning are also ready for you all. This week the English focuses on the wonderful works of David Walliams, where we explore the characters, stories and his exciting vocabulary!

And last but certainly not least, I have a very exciting announcement… as Mrs Slater mentioned in her newsletter, each week we would like you all to send in a photo or two (via Class Dojo) of some work that you are proud of by Friday 9am I can then put it all together in a montage video for you all to see, which I will upload each Monday along with the week’s work.

Have a lovely week everyone!
