Love Year 6 :)

Tuesday 22nd May

Today we spent the morning at Pizza Express making our own pizzas, we all got our own pizza chef hats to wear and make us feel professional. The staff at Pizza Exprees showed us how they make their pizzas and we all made our own delicious cheese and tomato pizzas which we had for dinner.

After this, we made our way to Blackpool Tower and spent some time making a replica of the tower out of Lego in our groups. We then made our way higher up the tower through the 4D cinema and out to look over Blackpool in the sun.

During the evening, we had Robbie, Jay and Jake who lead the Duke of Edinburgh Award come and teach us how to make chocolate bananas and cheese and ham toasties on an open camp fire, while also playing some camping game with us.

Blackpool Pleasure Beach

Today was a fun packed day at Blackpool Pleasure Beach in which we overcame a lot of our personal fears and had an amazing time on rides like The Big One, The Grand National, Ice Blast and Infusion to name but a few!! We were also fortunate enough to have a gorgeous day were the weather was certainly on our side. All this excitement was followed by some lovely fish and chips on the sea front and a delightful stroll along the prom. The day was then finished off superbly with a slice of chocolate fudge cake, a strawberry gateau and some fun games back at camp.

Have a look at the pictures below to see what we were getting up to.

Science hits the Spot

Toady started with some wacky forces fun and with Nuclear Naz at the helm it was certainly going to be illuminating. We squashed eggs into places they shouldn't be able to go, lit bulbs without plugging them in, used forces to spin water without spelling a drop and watched bubbles burn. It was fantastic fun and we even got some great little toys to keep. This was followed by some fun team games on the green and archery lessons with Dennis. This was great fun although Mr Stoney didn't seem too pleased at being out-shot by Miss Cottam even though Mr Walmsley found it hilarious. Soon, we will be putting on our best clothes ready for our evening meal before going to watch Shrek the musical. All-in-all, it has been a great day and it will definitely be a great evening. Check back later to see how our evening went.
